1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using BrainUnlock ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users, including parents, guardians, and any children who use the App under adult supervision.

2. Description of Service

BrainUnlock is a parental control and cognitive exercise application that allows parents or guardians ("Parents") to require children to complete brain-training challenges in order to earn access to screen time on their devices. The App uses Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls framework to manage device access.

3. Eligibility and Parental Consent

BrainUnlock is intended for use by families. The parent or guardian account must be created and managed by an adult (18 years or older). Children under 13 may only use the child-facing features of the App under direct parental supervision and setup. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

BrainUnlock offers a free tier and optional paid subscription plans. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Subscription fees are charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods except where required by applicable law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the App
• Use the App in a manner that could damage or overburden our systems
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any parental controls within the App

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce specific outcomes in children's behavior or cognitive development.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BrainUnlock and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of material changes via the App or the email associated with your account.
